Thoughts about planned projects in Antwerp

The works in Antwerpen metaphorically show the relationship between the three different cultures of Palestina, Israel and Germany which in a way are entangled with each other.

The way to visualize this is done in very opposite ways:on the one hand in a very figurative manner on the other in a very abstract way.

My thought is to visualize a Triptychon that means a coherent three parted image which will be visualized in the computer and done on either canvas or on paper with a format of each about 1m in height. So the number of 3 is referred to again.

The second project is a bronze like figurative work about 30cm*30cm base size which will be mounted either on a marble base or on a wood pedestal that is about 90cm high.

The third and final project will be a pure marble work about the size of a meter high.It will be abstract and my thought is to integrate lettering in the work which will have special importance.

(curriculum vitae)

Nils Hansenīs work offers a variety of styles. He started working in a figural manner deriving from his strong interest for the human body. A base of his work are his nude drawings which solve as a key to understand the abstract forms which are worked in Italy. They show a strong sensibility for movement and for organic forms which tend to turn and twist.

Nils Hansen has opened his mind for new media and his latest works are sculpted digitally and reproduced as bronze figures. In this way he bridges the gap between traditional working and latest 21st century computer technology.
